 Ruth qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2003 from Sheffield Hallam University. On qualifying she worked at the Northern General teaching hospital in Sheffield, gaining a wealth of experience in the cornerstones of physiotherapy. In 2007 Ruth moved into private practice to specialise in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has enjoyed the work in this field ever since.

Ruth has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions ranging from work place related problems, post surgical rehabilitation to the more chronic musculoskeletal problems like arthritis. She has treated GB and professional athletes, weekend warriors and paediatric patients. Acupuncture is one of the tools she has been using alongside her physiotherapy skills and has been registered as an associate member with the AACP since 2010.

Ruth has always had a keen interest in sport and plays netball regularly. She completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science in 1999 and enjoys working with athletes from all sports. In particular analysing the movement dysfunctions her patients have in relation to their sport and working with them to establish the best rehabilitation program for their specific sporting requirements. She gets great satisfaction in helping her patients become symptom free but also helping them see different ways to improve their techniques. Her assessments consider the whole body when analysing her patients and helps get to the root cause of an individuals problems.

Ruth is motivated to help her patients get better and considers many aspects of her patients condition or injury. She is a holistic physiotherapist completing thorough assessments, enabling her to tailor treatments according to the individuals needs. She is keen to facilitate self management and provides sound advice and explanations so that patients feel motivated and empowered to help themselves whatever there level of activity or aims are.
